The history of Praia do Rosa begins with its first settler, Dorvino Rosa, who used to host tourists and adventurers who came to these lands, mainly to do water sports.
During the 1970s, it became popular with young people who came to this lonely paradise in search of good waves.
The beautiful beaches are its main attraction, although right whales can also be seen from the coast (during the months of August to November).
